Description
A French festive dessert featuring moister vanilla cupcake layers in red, white, and blue, topped with creamy buttercream and patriotic decorations. Perfect for national celebrations with striking visual impact.
Ingredients
500g all-purpose flour
200g baking powder
250g unsalted butter, softened
250g granulated sugar
1 tbsp vanilla extract
4 large eggs
600ml milk
2–3 drops red gel food coloring
2–3 drops blue gel food coloring
400g vanilla buttercream
50g tricolor sugar decorations (white stars, blue cubes, red pearls)
12 cupcake liners (white or silver)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F)
Divide batter into three equal portions
Color one portion red and one blue with gel food coloring
Pipe white base layer into cupcake liners
Overlay with red layer
Top with blue layer in same mold
Bake for 20 minutes until golden
Cool completely on rack
Frost with buttercream
Sprinkle with tricolor sugar decorations
Notes
Use gel food coloring for vibrant colors
Pipe layers through spoon/spoon for clean layers
Cool fully before frosting to prevent sliding
Store in cool place for 24 hours before serving
