Description
A healthy fusion dish combining lean shredded turkey with crispy broccoli and carrots in a homemade teriyaki glaze. Quick to prepare with authentic Asian flavors from fresh ginger, orange zest, and natural sweetness.
Ingredients
450 g (1 lb) ground turkey
60 ml (1/4 cup) tamari sauce
30 g (2 tbsp) honey
1 orange (zested and juiced)
1 tbsp minced fresh ginger
1 small onion (chopped)
2 garlic cloves
1 cup broccoli florets
1 small carrot (sliced)
1 tsp sesame seeds
1 tbsp cooking oil
Instructions
Chop onion, garlic, and ginger
Heat oil in wok/pad over medium-high heat
Add onion and garlic; sauté 2 minutes
Add ground turkey; cook until browned
Stir in ginger and orange zest
Add tamari, honey, and orange juice
Simmer sauce 5 minutes
Add broccoli and carrots; stir-fry 3-4 minutes
Combine turkey mixture with veggies
Garnish with sesame seeds
Notes
Use soy sauce for non-gluten version
Add chopped green onions for extra flavor
Freeze cooked turkey mixture separately
Swap broccoli for bok choy or bell peppers
